Meet Owen

Owen, currently leases a Ford Tourneo on the Motability Scheme.

The vehicle has been converted so Owen can drive whilst sitting in his power chair. Owen received a grant for the conversion costs to his Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV).

“The grant and the vehicle has made a massive difference to me. It means I can travel with my family and enables me to be on a level playing field with my family and friends."

Owen

I currently have a provisional licence and am learning to drive my WAV. I’m very much looking forward to passing my test as it will enable me to be a lot more independent. I love playing power chair football and going away on trips.

I’m hoping to volunteer at my local hospital and I want to eventually fulfil my dream of getting working in media and having this car enables me to pursue that.”
