Lifestyle Magazine Shortlisted for Publishing Award

Monday, 25 April 2022

Motability’s magazine, Lifestyle, has received a nomination at this year’s PPA Awards in the ‘Special Interest Magazine/Brand of the Year’ category.

Now in its 42nd year, the Professional Publisher’s Association (PPA) run the awards every year to recognise and celebrate the achievements and progress made by the UK publishing and media industry across the business and consumer magazine sector. This year’s shortlist is for the period 1 January 2021 to 31 January 2022, and the PPA have acknowledged that this year’s awards will celebrate the work that took place during one of the most challenging economic periods in history for the publishing industry.

Published quarterly by the media agency Wonderly, every issue of Lifestyle is filled with a mix of news and updates from the Charity and the Motability Scheme, as well as articles across an array of topics. All customers and beneficiaries can receive a free printed copy in the post, and it is also available for everyone to read online.

Motability’s Senior Press and PR Manager, Gail Rossiter, oversees the production of Lifestyle and says: “This is very exciting news as not only have we made the shortlist in a prestigious category, but it’s also Lifestyle’s first ever award nomination. To be shortlisted is a reflection of all the hard work that goes into producing each issue at Wonderly, at the Charity, and at Motability Operations. Keep your fingers crossed for us!”

Wonderly’s Group Account Director, Alison Nesbitt, adds: "Lifestyle is highly valued by the Motability customer audience, who find the content both inspirational and informative. To now have the title recognised by the PPA is really gratifying."

On announcing the shortlist, PPA CEO Sajeeda Merali commented: “Our industry is going through a period of accelerated change, with our members’ businesses diversifying in new and exciting ways. The entries reflected the energy and passion of these organisations, and highlighted the excellent work delivered by their teams, as well as individual editors, writers and designers. It’s a genuine thrill to read through all the entries and be reminded about the vibrant sector we work in.”
